| The Electronics Technician is a member of the ship's engine department crew and requires an endorsement of Wiper on the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Document. Endorsement as Electrician and/or qualified member of the engine department of any rating is desirable.
The Electronics Technician performs general maintenance and repairs on the ship's communication equipment. Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings required. Experience in using electronic repair and monitoring tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters, a must. Work is performed on all classes of crewed ships. (Salary range: $42,000 - $45,500) |
